System Description
Overview
The audio unit acts as the "processor" for all audio functions. Select audio
functions from the audio unit, the audio
remote (on the steering wheel), or by using the navigation voice control
Self-diagnostic Function
Without Navigation
The audio system has a self-diagnostic function. To run the self-diagnostic
function, do the following:

These labels are in the locations
shown. They warn you of potential
hazards that could cause serious
injury or death. Read these labels
carefully.
If a label comes off or becomes hard
to read (except for the U.S.
dashboard label which may be
removed by the owner), contact your
dealer
DTC 86: F-CAN Communication
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Start the engine.
5. Wait at least 5 seconds.
6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 86 indicated?
YES-Go to step 7.
NO-Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for a loos
