The rear differential has a real-time 4WD control mechanism that enables 4WD
by transmitting appropriate driving
force from the front wheels to the rear wheels when necessary. It uses a

NOTE: Do not test repeatedly or the fluid will overheat.
1. Lift up the vehicle so all four wheels are off the ground.

LOCK (0).

proper locations.
2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Remove the flange nuts while holding the
respective joint pin (A) with a hex wrench (B), then
remove the stabilizer link (C).

Open the lower glove box by pulling
the bottom of the handle. Close it
with a firm push. Lock or unlock the
glove box with the master key.
