The childproof door locks are designed to prevent children seated in the rear from accidentally opening the rear doors. Each rear door has a lock lever near the edge. With the lever in the LOCK position (lever is down), the door cannot be opened fromthe inside regardless of the position of the lock tab. To open the door, push the lock tab forward and use the outside door handle.

Replacing the Transmitter Battery
If it takes several pushes on the
button to lock or unlock the doors
and the tailgate, replace the battery
as soon as possible.

the driver’s door with the key, the
remote transmitter, the master door
lock switch, or the lock tab on the
driver’s door.

Incomplete Update
NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board
snapshot, and review General Troubleshooting Information.
This code is indicated when PCM updating is
incomplete.
1. Update the A/T software in the PCM.
2. Check whether the DTC P16CO is indicated in the
DTCs/Freeze Data
Radiator Replacement
For Japan-produced Model
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the hood support rod, then use it as shown
to prop the hood in the wide-open position.
3. Remove the bulkhead cover.
4. Remove the coolant reservoir hose (A) and upper
radiator hose (B).
5. Raise the vehicle on the lift to full heig
