Close and Lock the Doors.
After everyone has entered the
vehicle, be sure the doors and the
tailgate are closed and locked.

Adjust the Front Seats
Adjust the driver’s seat as far to the
rear as possible while allowing you to
maintain full control of the vehicle.
Have a front passenger adjust their
seat as far to the rear as possible

1. Erase the DTC memory.
2. Read the DTC.
Is DTC 83-26 indicated?
YES-Go to step 3.
NO-Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this
time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures.

NOTE: Do not damage or drop the combination switch as the steering angle
sensor is sensitive to shock and vibration.
1. Remove the steering wheel.
2. Remove the steering column covers and the cable reel.
3. Remove the combination switch assembly.
