VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve Removal/Test/Installation
1. Disconnect the VTC oil control solenoid valve 2P
connector (A).
2. Remove the bolt (B) and the VTC oil control
solenoid valve (C).
3. Check the VTC oil control solenoid valve strainer
for cloggin

Special Tools Required
Boot band tool, KD-3191 or equivalent, commercially
available
Boot band pliers, Kent-Moore J-35910 or equivalent,
commercially available
Double Loop Type
1. Fit the boot ends onto the driveshaft and the
inboard joint, then install the new double loop band
(A) onto the boot.

Replacing a Parking Light/Front Side Marker Light Bulb
1. Open the hood.
To change the parking light/front
side marker on the driver’s side,
remove the fuse box fromits stay
by pulling out.
2. Remove the socket from the
headlight assembly by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
3. Pull the bulb straight out of its
