When you turn the ignition switch to
the START (III) position, you do not
hear the normal noise of the engine
trying to start. You may hear a
clicking sound, a series of clicks, or
nothing at all.
Check these things:
Check the transmission interlock.
The transmission must be in Park

NOTE: Adjust the valves only when the cylinder head
temperature is less than 100 ºF (38 ºC).
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Set the No.1 piston at top dead center (TDC). The
