You can use the instrument panel brightness control knob to adjust the illumination of the audio system. The audio system illuminates when the parking lights are on, even if the radio is turned off.

To Play a Disc
To load or play a disc, the ignition
switch must be in the ACCESSORY
(I) or ON (II) position.
You operate the disc player with the
same controls used for the radio. To
select the disc player,

Press the eject button (
) to
remove the disc. If you eject the disc,
but do not remove it from the slot,
the system will automatically reload
the disc after 10 seconds and put it in
pause

1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes
on).
2. Apply the parking brake, and block both rear
wheels. Start the engine, then shift to the D position
while pressing the brake pedal. Press the
accelerator pedal, and release it suddenly. The
engine should not stal

1. Check the PCV valve (A), hoses (B), and
connections for leaks or restrictions.
2. At idle, make sure there is a clicking sound from the
PCV valve when the hose between the PCV valve
and intake manifold is lightly pinched (A) with you
