You can use the instrument panel brightness control knob to adjust the illumination of the audio system. The audio system illuminates when the parking lights are on, even if the radio is turned off.

To Play a Disc
To load or play a disc, the ignition
switch must be in the ACCESSORY
(I) or ON (II) position.
You operate the disc player with the
same controls used for the radio. To
select the disc player,

Press the eject button (
) to
remove the disc. If you eject the disc,
but do not remove it from the slot,
the system will automatically reload
the disc after 10 seconds and put it in
pause

1. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the splash shield (see step 21).
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Remove the cylinder head cover.
5. Set the No.1 piston at top dead center (TDC). The
punch mark on the variable valve timing control
(VTC) actuator and the punch mark on the exhaust
camshaft sproc
Oil Check
Wait a few minutes after turning the
engine off before you check the oil.
1. Remove the dipstick (orange
handle).
2. Wipe off the dipstick with a clean
cloth or paper towel.
3. Insert the dipstick all the way back
into its hole.
4. Remove the dipstick again, and
check the level. It
