1. OFF When you turn the wiper switch to the ‘‘OFF’’ position, the wiper will return to its parked position.
2. Rotate the switch clockwise to turn the rear window wiper ON.
The wiper operates every 7 seconds after completing two sweeps.
3. Hold past ON to activate the rear window wiper a few times and to spray the rear window washer.
4. Rotate the switch counterclockwise also to spray the window washer and turn the wiper on.
When you shift the transmission to the reverse position with the front windshield wiper activated, the rear wiper operates automatically even if the rear wiper switch is off.
The rear window washer uses the same fluid reservoir as the windshield washer.

1. Check for sound in each mode (AM, FM, XM, and
disc).
Is there sound from the speakers, and is the sound quality normal in each mode?
YES-Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose
connections at the navigation unit, audio unit, amplifier, and each speaker.
NO-Speaker
Symptom Troubleshooting
SRS indicator does not come on
1. Connect the HDS to the DLC.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the SRS unit. If it does
not communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit.
4. Check for PGM-FI, Body Electrical, and SRS DTCs
with the HDS.
