Honda CR-V: Tire Maintenance
In addition to proper inflation,
correct wheel alignment helps to
decrease tire wear. If you find a tire
is worn unevenly, have your dealer
check the wheel alignment.
Have your dealer check the tires if
you feel a consistent vibration while
driving. A tire should always be
rebalanced if it is removed from the
wheel. When you have new tires
installed, make sure they are
balanced. This increases riding
comfort and tire life. For best results,
have the installer perform a dynamic
balance.

On vehicles with aluminum wheels,
improper wheel weights can damage
your vehicle’s aluminum wheels. Use
only Honda wheel weights f or
balancing.

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the HDS SRS
menu method to check for DTCs; refer to the DTC
Troubleshooting Index for the less obvious deployed
parts (seat belt tensioners, front impact sensors, side
airbag sensors, etc.)
Do not replace the ODS unit unless it is physically
damaged or
1. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the splash shield (see step 21).
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Remove the cylinder head cover.
5. Set the No.1 piston at top dead center (TDC). The
punch mark on the variable valve timing control
(VTC) actuator and the punch mark on the exhaust
camshaft sproc
